Uganda 2022 Travel Photos
Uganda 2022
This past August my parents and I travelled to Uganda to visit my sister, Emily, whom for the past 4 months has been working with a non-government organization (NGO) called SAWA world. Their organization facilitates the resources for locals with entrepreneurial aspirations as well as providing women the resources and knowledge to produce agriculture in small spaces.
We began in Entebbe, Uganda
The National Botanical Gardens of Uganda, commonly known as the Botanical Gardens Entebbe, are located in Entebbe, Uganda. They were laid out in 1898 by the first curator, A Whyte, close to the shores of Lake Victoria. The gardens are divided into different zones, including a rainforest zone.
This rainforest formed the backdrop to scenes from the Tarzan films featuring Johnny Weissmuller, shot in the 1940s.

On our first day in Kampala, we drove Emily to her placement then went straight to the Uganda Museum (Plot 5 Old Kira Road, Kitante Cl, Kampala, Uganda)
From Kampala, we travelled north toward Murchison Falls National Park in our safari fitted Land Rover. On the way we stopped at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to take a close look at rhinos.
After making it to Murchison Falls National Park we checked into Paraa Sarfari Lodge with views of the Victoria Nile
